Thank You Women’s Christmas Celebration Glendora
Event for the ladies was a success!
This past weekend we had the fortunate opportunity to be present, yet again, at Glenkirk Church‘s Annual Women’s Christmas Celebration.
It is always a delightful warming up to the approaching holidays.
With the halls decked and all the ladies looking so festive, it really did feel like we could be in a Winter Wonderland…BUT let’s face it, it was still as sunny of a Southern California day as ever!
But that’s OK, because the day was all about WOMEN celebrating each other! And that’s exactly what we did.
Women of all ages came to fellowship AND support missions that EMPOWER women around the world.
Women of Wando Showcased Beautiful Handmade Jewelry made by our Women Bead Partners in Uganda.
Each piece that was purchased as a gift for a special gal locally, went directly back to the 60 WOMEN enrolled in our Ugandan Bead Program to help them support their families and continue in their education.
For women living in Uganda this is absolutely needed, since many are single mothers with little to no education, left to resort to dangerous means of earning income.
This is why we believe SO strongly in Skills-Development, Business Training, and Higher Education for the women we’ve partnered with.
And our Volunteers feel the same way!
Each of the AMAZING ladies from our Volunteer Team is on their own path of developing their careers, starting businesses, and continuing in their education, making them perfect to share OUR MISSION with others.
Women Helping Women is our passion, so we couldn’t be more thankful to Glendora Glenkirk Church for allowing us to join their ladies on this special occasion.
A HUGE THANK YOU goes out our AWESOME Volunteers:
- and Jess
