Ugandan Students Prepped For Success
Primary school candidates getting ready to graduate!
Wando International’s sponsored school in Uganda, Marah Primary, has been steadily growing each year ever since it’s opening almost 4 years ago.
Each year new classrooms are added on to accommodate the influx of new community children as well the the graduating classes of already enrolled students.
This year we had the pleasure of adding on the Primary 7 class, known as P7, which is actually the last and final year of primary education in Uganda.
Students enrolled in P7 become candidates to graduate once they’ve registered to take their national exams.
Upon passing these exams, they become ready and able to join secondary level education!
Wando International is doing everything possible to help ensure it’s P7 students are prepared and ready to ace those exams.
Prepping Students For Success
In order to get all 21 of Marah’s P7 students ready, we’ve added on a special Saturday program where extra lessons and guidance are provided!
Students will receive insight into what they can expect to see on the national exams, how to answer different kinds of questions, and what areas of study they should focus on.
The entire community has rallied behind these kids.
In this small community in Uganda, where many live in what’s considered extreme poverty, parents and teachers are working together to see these kids succeed.
People have been hosting fundraisers and organizing fun activities with their youth groups to help cover the fees for the national exams.
Today, Primary 7 students were happy to become registered candidates at the center where they will taking their exams this October!
We can’t wait to see how things progress and report back on their success!
