WANDO International’s vocational program teaches widows new skills – one of which is making beautiful beaded jewelry. By purchasing this jewelry, you are giving these women a sustainable income to provide for themselves and their family as well as showing them the benefit of having a trade.
WANDO International is a non-profit organization as well as a member of the Fair Trade Federation that works to eradicate extreme poverty by creating a bridge of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens.
The women in our vocational program turn colorful recycled paper into gorgeous beads. They string them into necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. They can also be left loose to be used for crafts.
By purchasing this hand-made beaded jewelry, you are providing income, food, medicine, school fees, and hope to vulnerable women and children across Uganda.
